Roots has been one of our favorite restaurants in Milwaukee for the one and a half years we have lived here. It has consistently good and creative food for brunch or dinner. It has a wonderful view of downtown from Brewers Hill. And it has great service and a warm, trendy environment. We highly recommend this as a place to take your date, guest, or parents for any given event!

What We Had 8 of 10
I have had brunch here many times now, and typically get something different each time. The Black Bean and Chorizo Burrito is wonderful as are the Crab Cakes. Dinner’s here are excellent. The ice tea is an herbal blend, and may take a bit of getting used to, but the sugar cubes in the raw help with that.

Atmosphere 10 of 10
Roots Milwaukee has a wonderful atmosphere. The colors, lighting, candles, place settings, and bathrooms are all perfect. The view of this city just puts it over the top. Roots sits on top of the hill overlooking the Milwaukee river and the whole of Milwaukee proper.

Others 9 of 10
Parking at Roots is on the city streets, and can be difficult although you will always find something. Roots has a Cellar, a downstairs restaurant with cheaper pricing if you get sandwhiches.
