Elliot’s is a wonderful little French cafe right off of North St that we have wanted to try for a long time. They have a quaint little bar entrance and it is very nicely decorated. The food is pretty good, but the service is decidedly French . . . slow. Be prepared to wait for a table and then wait for your food. I think our total dinner time was getting close to two hours (or at least that’s how it felt). Overall we were pleased but not impressed for the amount it cost.

What We Had 6 of 10
We both had seafood. I had scallops in a cream sauce in a seashell and Cathy had shrimp in angel hair pasta. Really nothing special, pretty good though. The desert though was wonderful. We had a creme brulee. This place would make for a wonderful desert and wine stop late in the evening, after the dinner rush.

Atmosphere 7 of 10
A very quaint little dinner spot with good music and great decorations. the hard wood floors and old tin ceilings make it extra special. The wait staff’s uniforms are a bit cliche in black and white or red stripes, and the lighting is a bit bright for a date place.
