Bacchus is a high class establishment, great for corporate dinners or nice evening’s out with some friends. It is a modern American restaurant, specializing in steak with service. The meal was exquisite, and the service some of the best in Milwaukee. We were very pleased with our evening, and the special treatment received.

What We Had 7 of 10
As this was a celebration dinner we had a little of everything. We started with the sea scallops, and then shared the pear and Roquefort salad. The house the served us a lobster bisque soup, with their complements (thank you – it was wonderful). We both had a filet mignon, which was perfectly cooked, with Yukon gold potatoes and asparagus. All very well prepared and presented. They had a desert which all proceeds go toward breast cancer research, so we had that [a flourless chocolate cake with raspberries – of course], and the house served a white sweet desert wine, once again with complements. The evening was topped off with a cappuccino, which I have learned to love after a fine meal from my many trips to Europe for work. All in all, a great meal!

Atmosphere 10 of 10
Bacchus is a modern American steak house. Not traditional in any way. The booths were comfortable, and very good for quiet conversation without hearing your neighbors – a definite plus. It was very clean, and the service always changed out our plates and utensils. They are serious about keeping us happy.

Others 10 of 10
Parking is no problem in their private lot adjoining the building. We have never been let down by Bartolatta Restaurants in Milwaukee, and will continue to visit their other establishments throughout the city. This place is not cheap, so be prepared.

  2. Cathy took a new role at her job, with more responsibility. I happen to like it a lot too. I’ll say more about it later.
