Happy Birthday Harley Davidson! No better way to proclaim it to the streets than to invite every single bike you’ve ever built back home for a loud, annoying party!?!? Well, to be fair, my dad has a harley and he loves it. I like the look of them myself, its just the crazy noisey ones…
HD is hosting their quincennial party, and it looks like its going to be a good time. Some big bands are coming, Foo Fighters, Bruce Springstein and others. I think if I simply grasp it, instead of hating it, I could actually have fun… Maybe I’ll even ride my bike down there to see what the commotino is all about.
On my drive home from work yesterday, back into Milwaukee, I saw the longest line of HD’s I’ve ever seen before… and I’m expecting more tonight. All the bridges in the city had big “Welcome Home” signs with people waving to passing bikes. Pretty exciting, and I wasn’t even on one! Ha…

Remember when Anne and I came to visit you and Grandma in San Diego? We left when the 100 year celebration was just getting started. We were very glad to be leaving the city. The whole thing is just obnoxious, IMO.
